Rainy day Saturday

Finally a day off AND it's raining! I couldn't be more excited! Since moving to sunny Los Angeles I find that the weather actually CAN be too perfect so I really cherish these gray days.  I've always loved the rain - when I was living in Boston I used to love watching how frantic it made people.  The wind unwinding scarves and turning umbrellas inside out, people darting from one building to the next trying desperately to avoid the rain;  it always made me smile.  Yes, it can be cold and uncomfortable when you're caught in a downpour but it's warming up with a nice hot shower and comfy clothes, tomato soup and a good book that makes the rain so special.  Listening to the tapping music and feeling the security of warmth; there is just nothing like it.  I am so looking forward to splashing around today..

Natural Elegance

I went hiking yesterday with my friend Jackie and we passed this pretty little spot that I really really want to style.  It reminds me of something you would see in an Anthropologie catalog.  I just love that store.  They pretty much nail it every time, I always turn to the catalog for inspiration - this month was especially good.

The theme of the shoot is 'natural elegance'.   I love bringing outdoors and indoors together for a stunning contrast of spaces; if I could I would sleep, dress, and eat outdoors always.  I am so excited to set this one up! It will take some hauling as the spot is tucked pretty deep into the woods but it will be so worth it.  My friend Ben from a modern love will be shooting - super excited to see what we come up with! stay tuned for pics!

My crazy talented friends

from a modern love have been turning out amazing work recently.  I am super stoked to be collaborating with them for the winter party.  Ben and Chris are just brilliant and I can't wait to see how stunning the party will look through their lenses.

I want the whole country pink!

Watching funny face this afternoon - while I'm actually not a huge pink girl the line ' I want the whole country pink' was just too perfect not to use. I am just crazy about these pretty girls with bundles of balloons.  I want to throw a party with bunches and bunches of HUGE colorful balloons!

Sunny days in Ca

My friend Michelle came to play last week.  I had such a blast with her.  It's been about 3 years since we've seen one another but it felt like not a day had passed. Love you Michelle.  Cheers to you!
